Do you hate to take a vacation without your human? Ever like romping in the open country with loads of fresh air and beautiful scenery? Ever like hanging around a campfire at night chomping on roasted dog treats and telling ghost stories? Ever like learning new stuff and having fun with your human buddy beside you? Well, if you do, boy, do I have a camp for you! Camp Gone to the Dogs!
Located in Vermont, Camp Gone to the Dogs has three one-week programs in 2005. While the summer program was just held in June at the campus of Marlboro College, there are still two more in the Fall, at the upscale Mountaineer Inn in Stowe that you can enjoy…one from September 4-10 and the other from September 11-17. Both camps offer 25-30 activities daily, including workshops, lectures, classes or “just plain fun” stuff like guided off-lead walks, tail-wagging contests, pawtraits and a doggie costume party! There’s a nearby pond for us water dogs and we can even ride in a gondola! The camp’s
instructors have received national acclaim, written books, given international
seminars and run training centers, veterinarians are available 24x7, and
I’m told that the human food is delish!
So, for “a tail-wagging good time,” check out Camp Gone to the Dogs at http://camp-gone-tothe-dogs.com. And, tell them Buzz, Sports Dog sent you. Meanwhile, pass me some of those hotcats on a bun!
