DOG DEFIES GATOR!

Here’s a July 15, 2005 article from the Associated Press about a Golden Retriever who fought off a 14-foot, 700-pound alligator in a South Carolina canal.

Seems the pooch escaped from his backyard and decided to take a swim in the canal, thus attracting the gator’s attention – not to mention whet its appetite for canine cuisine! Battered, bruised and bleeding, Cooper, whose name was changed to Lucky after his encounter, put in a few good bites to the gator’s snout and is supposedly thinking about launching a line of gator collars and leashes!
