Here’s an oldie from 2003 that was compiled by Outside Online about Rubia, a 2-year old Golden who scaled Aconcagua, the highest peak in the western hemisphere located in Argentina. Seems that with the proper training and protection, we canines can do most anything. In fact, this same article reminds us of Laika, who in 1957 aboard Sputnik 2, became the first canine to orbit the earth at an altitude of about 2,000 miles. For more information, go to
